We all know that breakfast can kickstart your day, but the bars and shakes you grab on the way out the door can get a little...uninspiring. We’ve collected our favorite mason jar recipes to make the first bite of your day a delicious one—even on the go.

Smoothie Jars


Whip up our Tropical Green or Almond and Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl, pour the smoothie in a jar and top it as usual to take it to go. Or try this fabulous, 5-minute chocolate-and-peanut-butter combo.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Smoothie Jar

  • What You Need
  • 1/4 cup chocolate almond milk
  • 1/2 cup KNUDSEN Cottage Cheese
  • 2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp. miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Make It
Combine all the ingredients, reserving half the banana and some chocolate chips. Blend and pour into the jar. Top it with the remaining banana slices and chocolate chips. Screw on the lid and hit the road.

Cottage Berry Crunch Jar

Sweet, creamy and crunchy. What more could you want?

  • What You Need
  • 1/2 cup KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Lowfat Cottage Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. granola
  • 1/2 cup banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh berries

Make It
Spoon the cottage cheese into your jar and top with the rest of the ingredients. Boom, done.

Breakfast Banana Split Jar

Get a sweet start to the day.

  • What You Need
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup wheat and barley cereal nuggets
  • 1/2 cup KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Lowfat Cottage Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. honey
  • 1/3 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Make It
Layer bananas, cottage cheese, pineapple chunks and cereal into the jar, with cottage cheese as the top layer. Drizzle on the honey and top it off with a cherry.
